Youths throw stray dog from 50 Ft height in western India; animal activists demand justice
In a shocking incident in western India’s Gujarat two youths were filmed swinging a stray dog and throwing it from a height of 50 feet.
The incident took place at Sayali village in Vadodara on May 15.
Visuals showed two individuals holding the dog by its legs, swinging it repeatedly before mercilessly throwing it into a green area below. Despite the dog’s desperate attempts to escape, it was helpless against their tight grip. The extent of the dog’s injuries remains unknown.
The video was posted on social media by Dilthi Gujarati, a page advocating for animal rights, and quickly gained widespread attention. Following the video’s release, animal activist Krunal, with assistance from legal advisor Akash Chavda, initiated legal action. The Darshana Animal Welfare organization also played a crucial role in bringing the case to the authorities’ notice.
An FIR has been registered by local police, and an investigation is currently underway to apprehend the culprits. The incident has drawn significant attention, with animal lovers and welfare organizations demanding swift justice for the heinous act of cruelty.
