Youth in car cause mayhem at Toll in northern India: barrier broken, staff assaulted
A group of young men in a Thar SUV created chaos at a Toll Plaza in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, smashing through the toll barrier and attacking employees after refusing to pay the toll fee.
The incident took place at the Ramp Toll Plaza in the Dankaur area of Greater Noida on November 7.
Visuals showed a group of young men in a Thar SUV causing havoc at the Ramp Toll Plaza after an altercation over toll fees escalated into violence. Upon being asked to pay the toll, the men reportedly grew enraged, refusing to comply. Instead, they rammed their vehicle through the toll barrier, destroying property and initiating an assault on the toll staff who tried to intervene.
According to reports, witnesses say the men did not stop at merely breaking the barrier. As toll employees protested their actions, the assailants began physically attacking them, reportedly wielding sticks and causing further damage to the booth area. The entire incident was captured on the plaza’s CCTV cameras, with footage quickly gaining widespread attention on social media platforms.
Local authorities have taken swift action, with Dankaur police launching an investigation based on the CCTV evidence. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that they are working to identify the accused and have assured the public that strict action will be taken to bring those responsible to justice.
