Young man critically injured after climbing train roof, touching high-voltage wires at railway station
A young man caused panic at railway station after climbing onto the roof of a Pawan Express train and touching high-voltage electric wires, leaving him critically injured.
The incident took place at Lalbagh Railway Station in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh on December 19.
The visual shows a man climbing onto the roof of a train carriage, attracting a large crowd of passengers. Station authorities shout at him to stop, but unfortunately, he comes into contact with a high-voltage electric wire, which sparks and explodes. He then falls from the train.
According to reports the station authority immediately rushed to the district hospital in critical condition. According to GRP Outpost Burhanpur ASI Abdul Sharif, the man’s identity and reasons for the reckless act remain unknown. Both the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have launched an investigation into the matter.
The incident has raised concerns about security measures at the station and the dangers posed by unauthorized access to railway infrastructure. Further updates are awaited as authorities continue their probe.
