Worms found in Amul Buttermilk in India: customer shares shocking video and files complaint

A recent social media video has surfaced showing worms inside a package of Amul Protein Buttermilk, raising serious concerns about the quality and safety of Amul dairy products.

The video went viral on July 17.

Visuals showed a parcel containing numerous packets of Amul buttermilk, with some buttermilk spilled inside. White-colored worms were crawling all over the box and on the packets. The worms were numerous and spread across the entire area, creating a disturbing sight.

In a startling revelation, a customer has posted a video on social media showing worms inside a package of Amul Protein Buttermilk. The video, shared by Gajendra Yadav on X, depicts worms crawling inside the sealed package, leading to significant outrage and concern among consumers.

Yadav expressed his disappointment and frustration in his post, stating, “Oh Amul, you have sent us worms with your high-protein buttermilk.” The video clearly shows the presence of worms inside the package, raising serious questions about the quality control measures employed by Amul.

Yadav further claimed that some of the packets were either open or damaged, with the buttermilk inside already spoiled and emitting a foul odor. This incident highlights a critical lapse in quality control, suggesting that the buttermilk was contaminated even before it reached consumers.

When Gajendra emailed the Amul team and shared his problem, he received a call from the Amul team after which he shared an update saying “ Some1 from the Amul Kanpur team called and apologized for this. They are issuing refunds and are sending the product again. I have said NO FOR REPLACEMENT.  They have accepted their mistake and asked me to throw these boxes. As per them they are putting things on the dispatching team. He said dispatching is delayed and that might affect this.”

The video has sparked widespread concern among consumers, many of whom are now questioning the hygiene standards and quality assurance practices of Amul, a renowned name in the dairy industry. Despite the gravity of the allegations, Amul has yet to issue an official response to Yadav’s claims.
