A wooden hoarding collapsed in western India’s Maharashtra, crushing three parked vehicles and injuring two individuals. Emergency teams were promptly dispatched, and while the rescue operation is ongoing, authorities have confirmed that no one is trapped under the debris.

 

The incident took place at Sahajanand Chowk in the Kalyan area of Thane on August 2.

Visuals showed during the rain, a large hoarding fell onto a road, causing few people who were present beneath it to get injured. The scene was chaotic, with the hoarding’s massive structure crashing down, causing significant damage to the surrounding area. The injured individuals were promptly attended to, as emergency responders rushed to the scene to manage the situation.

 

In a dramatic incident today, a wooden hoarding toppled over at Sahajanand Chowk in Thane’s Kalyan area, leading to the crushing of three parked vehicles. The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 am, sparking immediate response from emergency services.

 

Rescue teams arrived quickly to assess the situation and conduct operations to ensure no one was trapped beneath the wreckage. Authorities have confirmed that, despite the severity of the collapse, the likelihood of anyone being trapped under the hoarding is minimal.

 

Kalyan Tehsildar Sachin Shejal confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries, but there were no fatalities reported. The focus now remains on the ongoing rescue operations and ensuring the safety of the site.

 

The cause of the collapse is under investigation, and further details are expected as the situation develops.
