Woman’s wrong turn sets off series of vehicle collisions
Multiple vehicles collide while trying to avoid hitting a woman who took a wrong turn.
The incident took place in the Vyttila area of Kochi, Ernakulam district of Kerala, southern India, on January 27.
Visuals show a woman on a scooter taking a wrong turn, while the man on a bike applies the brakes to avoid a collision. However, the vehicle behind the bike hits it, causing the woman to fall off her scooter.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the scooter passenger suddenly turned in the wrong direction. To avoid hitting her, the biker applied a sudden brake, causing the private bus behind him to brake as well. As a result, the school bus collided with the back of the private bus, and another private bus behind the school bus crashed into it.
This incident highlights the importance of road safety and cautious driving. Sudden manoeuvres, like taking a wrong turn, can trigger multi-vehicle accidents. All road users, whether on a scooter, bike, or in larger vehicles, must stay alert, follow traffic rules, and maintain safe distances. Using proper signals and maintaining control in emergencies is key to preventing accidents and ensuring safety.
