A woman protested against the poor condition of the road by sitting in a pothole in southern India’s Telangana.
The incident took place in Anandnagar, Nagole area of Ranga Reddy district on May 23.
Visuals captured her sitting in a dirty, water-filled pothole as a form of protest against the local authorities. Nearby traffic police constables and onlookers observed the scene, with some later joining her protest with a poster.
Reports indicate that the woman’s frustration stemmed from the authorities’ lack of response to her repeated requests to fix the potholes. Feeling unheard, she opted to sit in a muddy pothole to convey her protest. Urging others to join her cause, she highlighted the failure of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and warned of leaders’ neglect post-elections.
Nagole Traffic Police confirmed her protest against the deteriorating road conditions.
