Woman harassed by monkey in mall, causing chaos, panic

The incident took place at the City Kart Mall in Mauranipur town, Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh, northern India, and the video went viral on January 11.
Visuals depict the monkey running wildly through the store as storekeepers attempt to catch it using a blanket. At one point, the monkey jumped onto a woman’s head, causing her to crouch in fear. While some tried to lure the animal with a banana, others suggested the woman stand up, but their efforts were in vain.
The monkey later leaped onto a cloth rack before returning to the woman, targeting her repeatedly despite attempts to separate it. After being driven away, the monkey snatched one of her shoes and began nibbling on it.
Efforts to capture the monkey involved tossing a blanket over it, but it evaded the trap every time. Another round of pursuit followed as the monkey darted around the store, occasionally perching on clothing racks and moving through various sections of the store.
According to reports, the monkey caused havoc in the mall for nearly an hour. By the time the forest department team arrived, the mischievous animal had already fled the scene.
