In a shocking incident reported from Bengaluru, a woman was subjected to molestation while on her morning walk. The incident, which occurred in a narrow bylane of the city, was captured on CCTV and subsequently shared on the microblogging platform X by the handle ‘@peepoye_’.
The victim, who is identified as a Rajasthani woman, had been waiting for her friend to join her for her usual 5:00 am walk when the assault took place. According to the police, she was waiting in front of a neighbor’s house in a narrow lane when the accused struck.
A case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including assault, sexual harassment, and wrongful restraint. The investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, a cab driver who frequently transported corporate employees from the area. The authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further details.
