Woman falls victim to acid attack in southern India, probe on

A 35-year-old married woman was attacked with acid by some unidentified men in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh.
This shocking incident happened in Vidyanagar in Eluru district on June 13.
Visuals showed the lady, identified as Yadla Pransika writhing in pain while laying on the hospital bed. Policemen stood around and one was seen trying to speak to her. Pransika was admitted to the hospital from where she was shifted to Vijaywada later.
According to a report, Pransika had separated from her husband and was working as a receptionist at a dental clinic in Vidyanagar. Pransika has been living with her mother for two years while husband Anjaneyulu lives with his parents. Two unidentified men threw acid at her while she was near her house and her parents took her to the hospital. The police stated that 80 percent of her legs were severely injured in this brutal attack.
