Wild elephant sparks panic while strolling on street in India

An elephant’s sudden appearance on a street in northern India’s Uttarakhand sparked widespread panic among commuters.

The incident took place in Sitapur Colony, of Jwalapur area in Haridwar district on November 27.

Visuals showed the elephant moving down the street, with people quickly fleeing in fear. Children on bicycles were seen pedaling frantically to escape the sudden appearance. The elephant charged aggressively towards several vehicles, intensifying the chaos. Meanwhile, some reckless individuals were spotted dangerously filming near the wild animal. Thankfully, no one was harmed, and a potential disaster was narrowly avoided.

According to reports, forest department officials quickly responded to the scene, managing to safely guide the elephant back into the forest. Authorities also issued a warning against taking photos or videos of the elephant in populated areas, with strict action to be taken against violators.
