Wild elephant creates havoc, chases residents in southern India

Reports from Cherambadi, Nilgiri, describe a tense situation as a wild elephant unexpectedly charged towards residents in a residential area. Witnesses recounted scenes of panic as people, especially children, scrambled to safety. Instances of wild elephant encroachment are unfortunately not uncommon in this area, though the precise cause of the elephant’s aggression remains unclear. Authorities are currently assessing the situation to determine if the elephant has left the residential area.
