The incident took place in Satgaon army camp in Guwahati city and the news went viral on June 19.

Visuals showed the elephant roaming around freely inside the cantonment, opening gates on his own and playing around the army trucks.

 

According to reports, despite being a wild animal in name, this elephant has integrated into the camp’s daily life, earning the affection and care of the soldiers stationed there.
