Wild animal walks in background as Union Minister takes oath in northern India

It showed an animal, purportedly a leopard, walking at Rashtrapati Bhavan while the minister was performing the official procedure on stage in northern India’s Delhi.

This incident happened in Rashtrapati Bhavan of central Delhi on June 9.

The visuals show something unusual in the background which depicts an animal, reportedly a leopard, strolling at Rashtrapati Bhavan while Madhya Pradesh Member of Parliament, Durgadas Uikey, conducts the official procedure on stage.Moments after Durgadas Uikey was sworn in at Rashtrapati Bhavan, he signed the papers and exchanged greetings with President Droupadi Murmu. As he rose from his seat, bowed his head, and conveyed a Namaste to the honourable President of India, netizens turned their attention to the background. They noticed a four-legged creature casually strolling up the stairs. Speculations arose, with people guessing it to be a leopard or another wild animal spotted during the event.

Some people suspected that the footage had been edited, particularly focusing on the background. Nevertheless, similar scenes were captured during the live broadcast on Doordarshan, an Indian public broadcaster.
