Whirlwind-like storm strikes as Cyclone Michaung wreaks havoc in southern India
A whirlwind-like storm struck southern India’s Andhra Pradesh as Cyclone Michaung continued to wreak havoc in the state.
This incident took place at Annavaram near the Annavaram Devasthanam temple on December 5.
Visuals showed the whirlwind forming over a pond in the area. While it was an incredibly rare phenomenon, the consequences of the same took a toll on the lives of people. The strong winds already wrecked several houses in the area with the scared people seen standing outside, hoping for the calamity to stop. The winds were so intense that it took down heavy asbestos sheets and shook billboards. A scooter rider who was driving at a high speed lost control and fell down on the road.
The cyclone Michaung made its landfall in Andhra Pradesh and it has triggered severe cyclonic storms all around the state, with several lives being disrupted.
