Western India’s factory shut down amid illegal drug manufacturing allegations
A drug manufacturing unit has been busted in western India’s Gujarat by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in a factory, leading to its closure by government officials.
The incident took place in Palsana taluka of Surat district on July 17.

Visuals revealed illegal materials scattered across a wide area within the factory, followed by footage of officials sealing the premises.According to reports, Gujarat ATS received information about drugs being manufactured in Surat. Approximately Rs 20 crore worth of raw materials was seized during the raid. Gujarat ATS DIG Sunil Joshi stated that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the operation.This raid is part of the “No Drugs in Surat” campaign run by the Surat Police, who are actively targeting drug dealers. Previously, Surat Police arrested seven individuals with drugs worth Rs 24.41 lakhs on Bhestan Road in Surat.
