Western India unveils first look of underground metro aqua line 3 ahead of October opening
Western India’s Maharashtra is set to enhance its transportation network with the unveiling of the first look of the Aqua Line 3, connecting Aarey to BKC. Although the line is scheduled to open on October 4, the launch may proceed without the inclusion of two airport stations.
The incident took place at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on September 24.
Visuals showed Images and videos released ahead of the Aqua Line’s launch showcase a stunning three-level underground metro station. The visuals highlight the elegant design, featuring spacious areas, modern high-service gates, and beautiful interiors that promise a seamless and comfortable experience for commuters, setting a new standard for urban transit in Mumbai.
Officials revealed the first look of Mumbai’s first underground Metro Aqua Line 3, a significant development in the city’s public transport infrastructure. This line spans 33.5 kilometers and is part of the larger Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 Corridor, which will feature a total of 26 underground stations designed to ease congestion and provide efficient transit options.
The Aqua Line 3 will seamlessly integrate with existing transportation systems at approximately eight key locations. Notable connections include major railway hubs like Mumbai CSMT and Churchgate, as well as Grant Road and Mumbai Central, which is conveniently near the MSRTC bus depot. The line will also be a short 10-minute walk from Dadar station. Additionally, at Mahalaxmi, the Aqua Line will connect with the Monorail station, and at BKC, it will integrate with Mumbai Metro Line 2-B and Line 1.
The Aqua Line 3 is expected to be a game-changer for commuters in Mumbai, significantly improving accessibility and reducing travel time across the city.
