Water tanker collapse in northern India leaves several injured
In a recent incident, a water tanker collapsed in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh causing severe injuries to locals in the area.
The incident took place in  Krishna Vihar Colony of Mathura district on June 30.
Visuals showed locals in distress as a water tanker collapsed and flooded their area, partially submerging homes. Residents struggled to rescue each other amidst rising waters, visibly shocked by the sudden tragedy.
 
According to officials, Dr. Bhudev Prasad, leading the Health Department’s Rapid Response Team, reported initially rescuing four injured individuals from the debris. The number has now increased to twelve, with concerns that more people, including children, are still trapped. Tragically, two fatalities have been confirmed, and authorities warn that casualties could rise as the collapse also affected nearby houses.
According to reports, District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh confirmed that the injured have been taken to the district hospital for treatment. Immediately after the incident, administrative officials arrived at the scene to initiate relief and rescue efforts. The police, NDRF, SDRF, and other emergency services have been deployed and are actively monitoring the rescue operation.
