Violent clash erupts as sisters attacked police in northern India over honking

In a shocking incident in northern India’s Delhi, two sisters attacked a former Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and his family with knives after a quarrel over honking.

The incident took place in Vasundhara Enclave in East Delhi district on November 2.

Visuals showed a group of police officers outside a residential house when a car suddenly accelerated, striking an officer standing on the corner before fleeing the scene. Despite the officials’ attempts to stop the vehicle and apprehend the suspects, the accused managed to escape.

According to reports, the altercation began when Ashok Sharma, the retired DSP and a cancer patient, requested the sisters to stop honking their car horns. After entering his house uninvited, Chhavi Jain (21) and Bhavya Jain (23) attacked Sharma and his family. Following the attack, they attempted to escape, hitting a scooter rider in the process and dragging him a few meters before injuring a policeman.

Police later apprehended the sisters in Noida and initiated an investigation. An FIR has been filed against Sharma, his daughter, and others based on their complaints. The sisters face serious charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code.
