Violent clash at wedding in central India: 8 injured, car runs over guests
A wedding ceremony in central India’s Madhya Pradesh turned violent as a dispute over alcohol consumption led to a physical altercation between the bride and groom’s families.
The incident took place in Sehore district on June 27.
Visuals showed a chaotic scene with two cars circling around each other in an open field with kids and adults screaming, shouting, and stone pelting.
According to reports, the clash escalated into stone pelting and vehicle vandalism.
The conflict reached a dangerous peak when members of the groom’s side attempted to run over the bride’s relatives with a car, resulting in injuries to eight people.
Despite the severity of the incident, a compromise was reached between the two families later that night in the Doraha police station area. Consequently, no formal complaints were lodged with the police, leaving the matter resolved without legal intervention.
