In a surprising turn of events, a leopard and three cubs were reportedly sighted by villagers in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, causing widespread panic.

The incident took place in Chhuchai village of Meerut district, and the videos went viral on September 8.

Visuals showed villagers hesitating to cross a frequently used path due to rumors of a leopard roaming the area. In one video, a man on a scooter can be seen crossing the path when a leopard suddenly appeared in the background, walking across the road. Another video captured the leopard roaming in an open grass field, sparking safety concerns among the locals.

According to reports, several leopards have been spotted in the nearby forest areas. The footage, captured by the villagers, has heightened concerns about the safety of the community. The Forest Department has launched a search operation to locate the leopards and safely relocate them to their natural habitat. Authorities are working to ensure the safety of residents and prevent any harm. The rising number of leopard sightings in the area has called for increased vigilance and precautionary measures.
