Vehicle washed away in stream in southern India; driver rescued by locals
In a dramatic incident in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, a vehicle was swept away by a stream and came to a halt beside a river. Thanks to the swift action of local residents, the driver was rescued unharmed.
The incident took place between Bezzipuram and Budathavalasa villages, Laveru Mandal, Srikakulam District on September 8.
Visuals showed a white tempo-type vehicle was seen toppled over in a flooded area, having lost balance due to the high water levels. The floodwater had risen significantly, causing the vehicle to tip and fall into the water. Fortunately, a few local residents who were nearby quickly came to the driver’s aid, managing to help him out of the precarious situation. The scene was marked by the vehicle partially submerged in the murky, rising water, with the locals working together to ensure the driver’s safety amidst the challenging conditions.
According to reports, a vehicle was engulfed by a powerful stream. The sudden rush of water swept the vehicle away, causing it to eventually stop by the side of the river. Quick-thinking locals immediately sprang into action, rescuing the driver from the potentially perilous situation. The driver’s condition is reported to be stable, and there have been no further casualties reported.
