Uncontrolled car runs over girl, child making rangoli outside home in central India

A tragic accident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh has left two young girls critically injured after an uncontrolled car struck them while they were making rangoli outside their home.
The incident took place at Raj Nagar locality, specifically within the jurisdiction of the Aerodrome Police Station in Indore City on October 28.
Visuals showed in a narrow street, a young girl sat outside her house, carefully creating a rangoli design on the ground. Suddenly, a speeding car rushed down the lane, crashing into her with force and coming to an abrupt halt just outside her gate. The impact sent a shock through the area, causing immediate panic as neighbors and passersby rushed to help. The scene turned chaotic as locals hurriedly pulled the injured girl from beneath the car, while the driver and another passenger abandoned the vehicle and fled, leaving behind a scene of distress and alarm among the crowd gathered in the narrow lane.
According to reports, both girls sustained severe injuries and were immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment, with one reportedly in critical condition. The vehicle, bearing license plate MP 09 ZW 7287, was later identified as belonging to Tushar Agarwal, a resident of Hukumchand Colony. Police have since detained Agarwal after an extensive search.
Enraged by the delayed police response, nearby residents overturned the abandoned vehicle and damaged it. Police have registered a case against the suspect and are investigating the incident further.
