UK ex-Prime Minister with wife offer prayers at temple in southern India
In a significant visit to southern India’s Karnataka, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murthy, offered prayers at a prominent temple.
The incident took place at the Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Bengaluru city on November 5.
Visuals showed the couple alongside Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy and philanthropist Sudha Murthy, who were also present at the temple with their daughter and son-in-law. The family participated in the aarti and other rituals as part of their spiritual visit.
According to reports, Rishi Sunak and his wife visited the temple during the auspicious Karika masa month to seek blessings from Guru Raghavendra Swamy. This special visit attracted significant attention from both devotees and the media, highlighting the strong cultural ties of the couple.
