Two women stranded on rock in flooded river amid heavy rains in central India

In central India’s Madhya Pradesh two women were stranded on a rock in River following a sudden flood caused by heavy rainfalls.

The incident took place near Damua village, which is located in the Jamai tehsil of Chhindwara district on October 16.

Visuals showed two women sat perched on a large rock in the middle of a flooded river, their faces tense as the water rushed violently around them. Nearby, a rescue team worked swiftly, throwing ropes and coordinating efforts. With careful maneuvering and the aid of ropes, the women were successfully rescued, their relief palpable as they were brought to safety.

According to reports, the women are reported to be safe as they sit on the rock, awaiting rescue. Upon receiving the news, nearby villagers, along with administrative officials and rescue teams, promptly arrived at the site. Kamini Thakur, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Junnardeo, has confirmed that rescue operations are ongoing. Efforts are being made to bring the women to safety.
