Two-storey house topples in northern India, firefighters rescued twelve injured
In a shocking incident in northern India’s Delhi, a portion of a house collapsed, leaving many feared trapped under the debris.
The incident took place in the Bapa Nagar area of Karol Bagh in Central district on September 18.
Visuals showed the broken infrastructure of the house, with a large portion heavily damaged and debris scattered across the area.
Rescue officials were seen working tirelessly to clear the rubble, attempting to save those feared stranded beneath. Locals stood on their terraces, visibly distressed and shocked by the sudden collapse.
Speaking to Newslions,Delhi Fire Service’s Director Atul Garg stated that twelve individuals have been rescued, while several others remain feared trapped under the debris.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:11 a.m. Five fire tenders rushed to the scene immediately after the collapse.
Delhi Police, along with other emergency response teams, are continuing the rescue operation. No casualties have been reported thus far. Further updates on the situation are awaited.
