Two buildings demolished under controlled circumstances in southern India
A couple of multi-storeyed buildings at the Raheja Mindspace IT Park were brought down in a controlled demolition operation in southern India’s Telangana.
This happened in Madhapur in Hyderabad on September 23.
An aerial view of the incident showed the demolition of the buildings. In a matter of eight seconds, the two buildings were razed, leaving behind a thick cloud of dust that circled the whole area. According to a report, Edifice Engineering, the company which was involved in the demolition of the Noida towers, carried out this demolition operation as well. This time, they partnered with South Africa-based company Jet Demolition. In the place of the 18-year-old buildings, an eco-friendly office space would be constructed in 1.6 million square feet. This work is set to be completed by 2027.
