Two young boys had a close call when they got stuck in the middle of a waterfall in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident took place in the Kijpora waterfall of the Barwala Kangan area of Ganderbal district on July 21.

Visuals showed amid the roaring, overflowing waterfall, two boys clung desperately to slippery rocks, terror in their eyes. Frightened onlookers on the shore watched, hearts pounding, as brave locals battled the raging waters to reach them. With a final, daring pull, the boys were saved, cheers mixing with the waterfall’s thunder.
According to reports, amid the scorching summer heat, several people had gathered at the popular waterfall to cool off. During this time, two boys ventured into the waterfall and found themselves in a precarious situation. They slipped and were trapped in the middle of the rushing water, unable to reach safety.

Fortunately, residents who were present at the scene acted quickly and bravely. They managed to rescue both boys, bringing them safely back to the shore.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can accompany such natural attractions, especially during the hot summer months when more people seek relief in water bodies. Local authorities have urged visitors to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines when visiting waterfalls and other natural sites.
