Truck runs over bike in middle of road in northern India

This happened near Jubilee Inter College in Wazirganj police station area in Lucknow on May 2.
The visuals depicted the contractor riding a bike along the road. Suddenly, a speeding truck appeared from the opposite direction, colliding with him and causing severe damage before swiftly driving away from the scene.
According to the reports, City Station Bagh Sherganj resident Mohammad Shadab had gone out on his bike for some work. Local people said that it seemed as if the driver did not even know that an accident had happened. He kept driving the truck fast and Shadab along with the bike remained stuck in the bonnet. People signaled and shouted to the truck driver to stop the truck. The driver immediately fled from the spot.
As soon as the truck stopped, a crowd gathered at the spot. The police admitted the injured contractor Mohammad Shadab, who was stuck in the bonnet of the truck, to the trauma center. His left leg had to be amputated during treatment. The police have lodged an FIR and based on CCTV footage, police are looking for the truck driver.
Police officials said that a complaint has been received in the matter. The accused truck driver is being searched for. He will be arrested soon.
