A team of SDRF rescuers saved three individuals who were stranded in a river during their trip.

The incident took place in Phool Chatti resort in Rishikesh of Uttarakhand, northern India on December 26.

Visuals show the three individuals stranded in the fast-flowing river, wearing life jackets as officials, one by one, used ropes to pull them to safety.

Speaking to Newslions, SDRF Constable Vinit Vaibhav from Uttarakhand explained that the SDRF team received information about three youths—Manish Semwal, 25, Gaurav Semwal, 21, and Shekhar Kotiyal, 20—who had come from Gumanivala, Rishikesh, for a trip. The youths were stranded in the river due to rising water levels near Golf Rapid, Phoolchatti.

Upon receiving the alert, the SDRF team immediately rushed to the scene. The youths were trapped in the river, terrified by the rising water and shouting for help.

The SDRF rescue team, comprising Head Constable Arjun Singh, Jitendra Singh, Pradeep Rawat, Anup Rawat, Ramesh Bhatt, Pankaj Singh, Sumit Negi, Paramedic Amit Kumar, and Rahul Kumar, arrived swiftly, working tirelessly to reach the stranded youths. After securing them with life jackets, they were rescued one by one using ropes.
