Tribal man beaten, humiliated in shocking incident in northern India

The incident took place at Shaktinagar area, NCL Khadia Barrier No. 1, Nimiya Dand in Sonbhadra district on September 26.
Visuals showed a young injured boy, visibly hurt and bleeding, lying on the ground after being brutally beaten by a group of assailants. His face, covered in blood from the wounds, showed signs of pain and exhaustion. As he lay there, one of the attackers stood over him, urinating on his face in an act of extreme humiliation. The scene was disturbing, with the injured boy helpless and vulnerable, while the attacker carried out the degrading act without remorse. The brutality of the moment was evident in the bloodstains on the ground and the boy’s anguished expression.
According to reports, Pawan was attacked by Ankit Bharti, a resident of Nimiya Dand, along with 7-8 accomplices, following a dispute. After assaulting the victim with punches and kicks, the group went to the extreme of urinating on his face.
The incident came to light after a video of the atrocity went viral on social media, sparking outrage. Pawan’s elder brother, Shivkumar Kharwar, took to social media to report the incident, urging police action.
In response, local authorities have arrested one of the accused, Ankith Bharti, and launched a manhunt to track down the remaining individuals involved. A case has been registered under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, and additional arrests are expected soon.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Kalu Singh, confirmed that the police are actively pursuing the culprits and assured swift justice for the victim. He stated, “This case of brutal assault and humiliation is under investigation, and we will ensure that all the accused are brought to justice.”
The incident has left the local community in shock and raised serious concerns about safety and law enforcement in the region.
