Update: Tree falls on commercial complex in western India; vehicles damaged, no injuries reported

In a startling incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a massive tree succumbed to the forces of nature, crashing down onto a commercial complex. 

 

The incident took place in the Fatima Nagar area of Wanowrie, Pune city on June 6.

Visuals showed a scene of chaos and surprise as the towering tree unexpectedly toppled, its branches sprawling across the complex’s vicinity. The sound of the impact echoed through the streets, drawing attention from passersby and residents alike. Firefighters were seen clearing the place.

Speaking to Newslions leading fireman Rahul Bandal said they got the information regarding the unfortunate event around 6 PM, by the time they reached the injured people were already rescued by the locals and they saw two cars, one three wheeler, four to five bikes under a tree in damaged condition. The rescue and cleaning of the trees took around five to six hours.
