In a dramatic incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a truck carrying cement fell into a caved-in road, leaving the driver seriously injured.
The incident took place on Naujheel Mant Road in Mathura district on September 7.
Visuals showed the slushy road with a massive pit where the truck had fallen, shocking and concerning the locals. The sight depicted the effect of continuous rain which caused water to pool all around, making the area more dangerous.
According to reports, nearby residents quickly became aware of the accident and rushed to the scene. The truck driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle, was rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment with serious injuries.
Locals pointed out that a culvert beneath the road had caved in due to soil erosion from heavy rainfall. The subsidence measured approximately 30 feet deep. Police arrived at the scene to gather details about the incident.
