Tragic! Principal and student clash over fees in central India

In a dramatic turn of events in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a confrontation erupted between a school principal and an 11th grader over unpaid fees.

The incident took place at CBS School in Gwalior district on August 24.

Visuals showed the escalating conflict, showing the principal striking the student with a stick, while the student retaliated with a slap. The situation quickly intensified, with other teachers getting involved, leading to a chaotic scuffle.

According to reports, the clash began when the 17-year-old student, who had left the school a year earlier, returned to collect his Class 11 marksheet and transfer certificate. Principal Nisha Sengar demanded that the student settle his outstanding fees before issuing the documents.

Following this, the Hazira police registered a case against Principal Sengar and teachers Rajni and Rakesh under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, based on the student’s complaint. In response, the teachers filed a counter-complaint, accusing the student of assault and threats.
