Tragic! Political party worker gets brutally beaten in southern India

by Ekta ChaubeyIn a recent incident, a worker from a political party in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh was brutally beaten by an iron rod and sticks.
The tragic incident occurred in Gundlapadu of Veldurthi mandal of Palnadu district on June 21.
Visuals showed the distressing sight of a man who was brutally attacked with sticks and iron rods by the villagers late at night. The man can be heard crying in pain while being in extreme distress with his other co-workers who were also being attacked simultaneously. They were requesting to be spared however the locals continued to attack him mercilessly.
According to reports, the man being attacked was Thota Venkateswarlu, a YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) worker. The other workers too were attacked with iron rods while the ones attacking were reportedly complaining about the presence of workers in the village once they left.
According to officials, Thota Venkateswarlu was seriously injured and immediately shifted to a hospital.
