Update: Remarkable rescue! Fire department rescues girl trapped on elevated road pillar in northern India
In a harrowing incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a girl got stuck on the pillar of an elevated road following a scooter accident.
The incident took place in Sector 25 of Noida city on September 21.
Speaking to Newslions, Station House Officer of Sector 20 Police Station, Noida, Dharma Prakash Shukla stated that at around 12:45 PM, a scooter driver and his female companion, traveling from Sector 18 to Ghaziabad, lost control of their vehicle after a WagonR driver made a sudden turn on the elevated bridge near Mangal Bazar. The scooter collided with the divider, causing the woman to be thrown onto an empty space on the pillar.
Upon being informed, the police and fire brigade teams from Sector 20 rushed to the scene, rescuing the girl and two others. All injured individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment, with further actions being taken.
