Tragic midnight bike race in eastern India: two bikers lost life in fiery collision with car
A high-speed bike race in eastern India’s West Bengal, ended in tragedy as two bikers lost their lives after their bike collided with a car and burst into flames.
The incident took place at the Polbar Rajhat Intersection in Hooghly in Cooch Behar on October 11.
Visuals showed the road is quite empty because of the time. A speeding bike passes by in a dramatic way followed by another bike – it seems like a bike racing competition between the two two-wheelers.
A white-coloured four-wheeler was taking a turn at the intersection when the second bike couldn’t control its speed and rammed into the car. Within a second or two, the bike turned into a ball of fire and people nearby rushed to pull out the two bikers.
According to reports, two bikes were speeding down an empty road when one of them, unable to control its speed, crashed into a white four-wheeler turning at the intersection. The impact of the collision was so severe that the bike immediately caught fire, turning into a ball of flames within seconds. Bystanders rushed to the scene to help, but both bikers succumbed to their injuries due to severe burns.
The tragic accident has left the local community shaken, as authorities investigate the incident further.
