In a harrowing incident in western India’s Gujarat, a massive explosion followed by a huge fire erupted at a factory causing panic amongst the onlookers.

The incident took place at the Organic Industries Pvt Ltd warehouse in Bharuch district on August 27.

Visuals showed thick black smoke billowing from the factory, causing widespread distress among onlookers. The inferno quickly spread, calling for immediate action from the fire department, which dispatched fire tenders to the scene in a bid to contain the blaze.According to reports, the explosion occurred during the repackaging of Potassium Permanganate, triggering a stampede among workers within the company complex. The fire intensified, drawing onlookers from afar as emergency efforts were launched to control the situation. After hours of intense firefighting, the flames were finally subdued.

Authorities, including the police, industrial safety and health officials, and the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), were on the scene, ensuring the area was secured and the situation was brought under control.
