In a tragic incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh a lineman lost his life while repairing a power line.

The spine chilling incident took place in Dadri town, Greater Noida on June 15.

Visuals showed the lineman lying on the electric wires lifeless while another lineman was trying to entangle him from the wires. The other locals and officials present on the spot could be seen to be in shock and distress.

According to reports, there was a fault in the power line in Dadri town and lineman Yunus was working there after the shutdown. While repairing the line the current suddenly came to the line even after taking the shutdown due to which the kineman lost his life on spot.

However officials and other employees posted at the powerhouse stated that the current had not been released from there after taking the shutdown.

Reports suggested that top officials of the electric department also reached the spot immediately. The incident was reported to the police and family members. Dadri police reached the spot after receiving information and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem.

According to officials, SDO Alok Kumar of the Electricity Department stated that the shutdown was given in the line where the lineman went to work, but even after that, how the current came remains unknown is a matter of investigation.
