Tragic! Hut succumbs to powerful floods in northern India
In a devastating incident in northern India’s Bihar, a hut-like structure was completely submerged and ultimately collapsed due to strong river currents.
The incident took place in Begusarai district and the video went viral on September 22.
Visuals showed the tin shed structure barely above water, with only its roof visible. Within seconds, the roof was seen giving way to the powerful currents, dissolving into the floodwaters.
According to reports, the floods in Bihar’s Begusarai have inundated eight blocks and one municipal ward, affecting more than 80,000 residents. Locals, however, claim that the number of affected individuals is in the lakhs. Daily life has been severely disrupted, with shortages of food and clean drinking water. Schools are closed, community kitchens are operational, and boats are being deployed to reach those in need, yet residents allege that government assistance is not reaching everyone.
