Tragic! Helicopter crashes in western India leaving captain injured
In a concerning incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a private helicopter crashed.
The incident took place near Paud village in Pune district on August 24.
Visuals showed the helicopter descending rapidly into a forested area. The aircraft hit the ground but miraculously did not catch fire, resulting in all passengers, including the captain, surviving the crash without major harm.
According to reports, the helicopter, en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad, carried four individuals. The captain sustained injuries and has been hospitalized, while the other three passengers remain in stable condition. Pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh confirmed that the helicopter belonged to a private company.
Bad weather is suspected to be the cause of the accident, although the exact reason has yet to be confirmed. Rescue operations are ongoing at the crash site, with efforts focused on clearing the helicopter wreckage.
