Tragic! Fire breaks out in northern India flat, belongings reduced to ashes amidst panic
In a concerning incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a fire erupted on the balcony of a flat, causing panic among society residents.
The incident took place in Mahagun Mantra 1 Society of Greater Noida West city in Gautam Budh Nagar district on October 6.
According to reports, maintenance workers quickly arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control. Fortunately, no one was inside the flat during the fire. The blaze, however, destroyed all the belongings kept in the balcony, along with some items from an adjacent room.
Reports stated that the residents of flat number 1610 had built a temple in a portion of the balcony. On Sunday night, the resident lit a lamp during a worship ritual and later went inside the flat. Strong winds caused the cloth near the lamp to catch fire, which quickly spread throughout the balcony, reducing the goods kept there to ashes. Residents walking in the society premises noticed the fire and immediately informed the flat owner and the maintenance team, who managed to control the blaze. No casualties were reported.
