Tragic! Eight people get trapped in lift in central India
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a harrowing incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, eight people were trapped inside a malfunctioning lift in Indore.
The incident took place in Indore city on August 19.
Visuals showed the trapped individuals shouting for help, with residents working desperately to pull them out from the narrow space between the floor and the half-opened lift doors. The lift, located in the Grand Exotic Sunshine Building near Scheme No. 140, suddenly stopped around the fifth floor as it was descending from the tenth floor at around 7:00 pm. Despite their cries for help, no immediate assistance arrived, and there was no guard on duty.
Residents eventually managed to open the lift with great difficulty and rescued the trapped individuals.
