Tragedy strikes in central India after dilapidated wall collapses on 14-year-old boy
In a tragic incident, a child who was grazing a goat suddenly got buried under the debris when a nearby roof collapsed in Central India’s Madhya Pradesh.
The heartbreaking incident happened near a Christian cemetery in Halalpur Bairagarh of Bopal on May 16.
The visuals showed the rescue operation being carried out at the spot of the accident. Excavators were used to remove the debris to rescue the trapped boy and later on, officials used their hands and also an iron road to remove the debris.
According to the reports, the victim was identified as 14-year-old Sunil. The incident took place in the old pump house built in the big pond of the city. It is being told that two brothers, had reached the catchment area of the big pond to graze goats. While grazing goats, the elder brother was sitting in the old pump house, when suddenly the structure of the dilapidated pump house collapsed and the minor got injured.
On receiving information, the fire brigade and rescue team reached the spot and started rescue operations. The police force also reached the spot. After about half an hour of hard work, the rescue team removed the child from the debris. The injured child was sent to the hospital but unfortunately died during treatment.
