Tractor swept away by floodwaters in western India; passengers narrowly escape
In a dramatic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a tractor and its attached trolley were swept away by the strong currents of the Girna River.
The incident took place in Erandol taluka of Jalgaon district on August 26.
Visuals showed the parked tractor getting overturned by the flood waters completely drowning the whole area along with the vehicle.
According to reports, the river, swollen due to heavy monsoon rains, overwhelmed the vehicle as it attempted to cross a flooded area.
Miraculously, the passengers aboard the tractor trolley managed to escape with their lives. Despite the rapid and forceful flow of the water, they acted quickly and were able to save themselves before the vehicle was completely submerged.
This incident underscores the dangers posed by monsoon flooding in India, particularly in rural areas where river crossings can become treacherous during the rainy season.
