Three-storey house collapses due to heavy rain in northern India, no casualties reported

In northern India’s Rajasthan, a three-storey house collapsed following heavy rains in the area.

The incident took place on Kalyanji Road in Jaipur city and the video went viral on August 16.

Visuals showed the building was already broken down from the ground floor and then within a few seconds the whole structure came crashing down.

According to reports, the incident, which occurred recently, thankfully resulted in no casualties as the residents were not present at the time of the collapse.

The house, which had been weakened by continuous rain, gave way unexpectedly. Local authorities quickly arrived on the scene to assess the damage and ensure the safety of surrounding buildings. The collapse serves as a stark reminder of the impact that heavy rainfall can have on older structures in urban areas.
