Thief tries to steal phone from moving train, ends up hanging from window after passengers hold him in northern India
A thief, who tried to steal a mobile phone from a moving train met his worse fate after the passengers caught hold of his arm, leaving him dangling from the vehicle in northern India’s Bihar.
The incident happened when the train was about to finish its journey from the Begusarai to Khagaria district, reportedly on September 14.
Visuals showed the scared thief dangling from the moving train as the passengers held both his arms. He kept pleading, asking them to not let go as he was hanging in a very precarious position. A report claimed that he was attempting to snatch a passenger’s mobile phone near the Sahebpur Kamal station.
It was when one of the passengers caught hold of his arm and initially after being asked to let go, the man slid his other arm through the window and requested to be held tight.
He dangled across the train in that precarious position for a distance of 10 kms before he was let go near the Khagaria station, where it was reported that he fled from the spot.
