Thief steals collection box from ancient temple southern India
In a daring robbery in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, an unidentified thief broke into the temple and stole the hundi (collection box) before escaping the scene.
The incident took place in the Ammavari Gudi temple in Sanjay Nagar area of Kakinada District on May 20.
Visuals showed the thief carefully ensured that no one was around before executing his plan. He was seen methodically surveying the temple surroundings before making his move. Once he was certain the area was clear, he broke into the temple and swiftly targeted the hundi, the collection box where devotees make their monetary offerings. The thief placed the hundi in a bag he had brought with him and quickly fled the scene.
In a shocking incident, an unidentified man broke into the Ammavari Gudi temple located in Sanjay Nagar, Kakinada. The robbery took place late at night when the temple premises were deserted.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from nearby areas and appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and capture of the suspect.
