Terrifying snake encounter in village of central India ends safely thanks to quick-thinking rescuer
In a nerve-wracking incident in a village of central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a pair of snakes, including a male cobra and a more aggressive female cobra, sought shelter in the home of a local resident, Karan Rajput.
The incident took place in Hivarkhedi village of Betul district on August 26.
Visuals showed how intense the rescue was, with both snakes displaying aggressive behavior. They repeatedly hissed, raised their hoods, and attempted to bite. Despite these challenges, Vishal successfully captured the snakes after a tense 10-minute struggle. The snakes were safely released back into the wild, much to the relief of Karan Rajput and his family.
According to reports, the serpents were discovered hiding behind a sack of soybeans, causing alarm among the household members.
During the rainy season in India, snakes often seek refuge in homes as water floods their burrows. This increases the risk of encounters with humans, sometimes leading to dangerous situations. Knowing the potential danger, the family immediately contacted local “snake friend” Vishal Vishwakarma, who is known for his expertise in handling snakes. Vishal arrived promptly and carefully began the rescue operation.

This incident highlights the increased risk of snake encounters during India’s monsoon season and the importance of quick and informed action in such situations.
