Tempo causes multi-vehicle collision in western India, no casualties reported

A parked tempo lost balance and collided with several other parked vehicles in western India’s Maharashtra. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the accident.

 

The incident took place in the Upvan area of Thane district on July 18.

Visuals showed a chaotic scene unfolded when a tempo, traveling at slow speed, crashed into a cluster of parked vehicles. The tempo slammed into the stationary bikes, causing them to be forcefully shoved and scattered. The impact was so severe that several vehicles were knocked onto their sides, creating a tangled mess of metal and debris. The tempo finally came to a halt after pushing through the line of parked cars, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

 

In a dramatic turn of events, a parked tempo in Thane’s Upvan area caused a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday. The incident occurred when the tempo, parked on a slope in the middle of the road, lost balance as the driver disembarked to ask for directions. The uncontrolled vehicle collided with multiple bike, leading to significant damage but fortunately no casualties.

 

This accident marks the second major collision in Thane within the last three days. Earlier, a truck collided with a height barrier on Lal Bahadur Shastri Road near Aradhana Talkies, Naupada. The impact caused the height barrier to fall onto a moving bike, injuring its rider, Mr. Ambadas Jadhav. Mr. Jadhav, 31, from Muraji Nagar, Powai, sustained minor injuries to his head and back and was promptly taken to Male Hospital, Hari Niwas Circle, for medical treatment.

 

City traffic police, disaster management personnel, and the Naupada ward committee’s encroachment department swiftly responded to the scene. Authorities are investigating both incidents to prevent future occurrences and enhance road safety in the area.
